Dr. Robert Hooper
Doctor Hooper, a board certified sleep specialist, is the medical
director of Scottsdale Sleep Center. He is a sleep, pulmonary and
critical care physician and has worked in the area of sleep medicine
for the past 28 years.
He opened the second sleep laboratory in Arizona in 1980. His experience
has included clinical practice, clinical research and training physicians
and healthcare professionals. His research has been published in
many journals including the "New England Journal of Medicine". He
has published over eighty articles
and books. The writings, in addition to his research, include essays
on the practice of medicine, articles on medical management and
patient educational material.
He has recently authored a book on sleep disorders designed as a
guide for patients with sleep problems. It is written clearly in
an easily understood manner and has received excellent reviews.

He has achieved the level of Fellowship in the American College
of Physicians, in the American College of Chest Physicians, and
in the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He is a graduate of the
University of Oklahoma and did his specialty training at Walter
Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.
Dr. Hooper sees patients at his clinical practice, Arizona Lung,
Sleep and Critical Care Specialists, in Scottsdale, Arizona.
